Types of Narcissism
There are also different types of narcissism that a person may display.
The main types of narcissism are overt, covert, antagonistic, communal, andmalignant.
Displaying one of these types of narcissism does not necessarily mean that a person has narcissistic personality disorder.
Therapy can be especially challenging for people with NPD, because they are often unwilling to acknowledge the disorder.
Encourage your loved one to seek treatment for their condition.
Recognize, however, that many people with NPD never seek treatment.
If the other person refuses to get help, consider talking to a doctor ormental health professionalyourself.
A therapist can help you work to rebuild self-esteem that has been damaged by the relationship.
