The Bartholin glands sit on either side of the vagina and make lubricating fluid.
When these glands get blocked, fluid can back up in them and form a Bartholin cyst.
These can also help ease the pain.
How long these cysts last depends on their size and whether they are infected.
Most heal fully within a few weeks.
How Many People Have Bartholin Cysts?
