So, determining the role that sugar specifically played is hard.

So, its still worth cutting back on sugar and replacing processed foods with more nutritious items.

Here are a few ADHD-friendly tips for reducing sugar and improving your diet.

Dont Keep Sugary Snacks in the House

Impulse controlis hard for people with ADHD.

Physical activity may helpboost dopamine levelssufficiently enough to make the craving less intense.

If not, at least you get some exercise before eating something sugary.

By the same token, drink a glass of water before a sugary beverage.

When youre thirsty and craving soda or juice, fill your glass with water first.

Chug that and then pour in the juice or soda.

Hence, a rigid diet where youre denying yourself entire food categories or meticulously counting calories is not ideal.
