What you need for roasted asparagus
Heres what I use to roast asparagus.
I know I only said salt and pepper, but garlic does make everything tastier!
Drizzlewith olive oil, toss with salt, pepper and garlic.

Yes, little bits of garlic wont properly stick to the asparagus and no, thats not a problem.
Spread and bake just 7 minutes in a hot 220C/430F oven!
(Unless youve got thicker ones, then it will be closer to 10 to 12 minutes)

Pile onto serving plateand if using the optional parmesan, just grate it straight over.
Serve as a quick side with anything, from roasts to fish, prawns to chicken.
And another way to serve this is withpoached eggandHollandaise Sauce.
Albeit you often see this combination with plain steamed asparagus, imagine it with ROASTED garlic asparagus!
Serve it just like that as lovely starter, or with a slice of toastedcrusty breadfor brunch.
